Josh Wakefield
Founder & CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™
Josh Wakefield is not your typical financial planner. As the founder of Financial Clarity Guides, he knows firsthand the complexities of personal finance, having begun his own career with little background in the field. Through hard work and a drive to grow, Josh became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ with multiple industry licenses. His mission is to help individuals and families gain financial peace and clarity.
More than just numbers and strategies, Josh’s work is driven by his values. Deeply involved in his community, he holds membership in 100 Strong, a group of businessmen dedicated to local charity initiatives. Moreover, his commitment to foster families and adoption is both personal and professional. Josh channels his past experiences as a house parent in a group home and his co-worker Annemarie’s personal adoption story into meaningful outreach. Financial Clarity Guides is proud to offer both significantly discounted services for those involved in fostering and one year of free financial planning advice for anyone who lovingly adopts a child out of foster care. *When capacity allows. Services are offered 1 year following adoption.
Outside the financial world, Josh is a family man. He cherishes time with his wife, Lauren, their daughter, Parker Jo, and their newborn son, Noah. In his free time, he enjoys live music, sports, and participating in his home church and local nonprofits geared toward foster families and caring for ministry leaders. Josh also invests in real estate, is a licensed realtor, and guides clients in making informed choices in property ownership.
Annemarie Douglas
Administrative Assistant
Annemarie Douglas is the Administrative Assistant at Financial Clarity Guides, bringing over 15 years of experience in finance and administration. She began her career at Hilliard Lyons in Louisville, Kentucky, building a strong foundation in client service and operations. With a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing from the University of Louisville, Annemarie is an essential part of the team.
Annemarie lives in Fort Myers, Florida with her husband, Scott, their rescue dogs, Marco and Polo, and their rescue cat Charlie, embracing outdoor adventures like beach walks and sunset cruises. When not working, Annemarie loves to travel, visiting friends and family in Kentucky, including her now grown children, Shelby and Billy.
